To combat these market pressures, the two leaders highlighted a newly minted bilateral trade agreement between their nations. This ambitious initiative pledges over $1 billion to bolster joint film production and animation capabilities between France and South Korea. Macron had previously argued in a pre-summit op-ed that relying solely on market forces would inevitably jeopardize local filmmaking.
