Iceberg Lettuce Outbreak Spreads to Four New States
On July 24, 2026, the CDC updated its warning about a Cyclospora outbreak linked to Taylor Farms iceberg lettuce. Officials have added Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania to the affected area. The infection has spread to nine states, with 1,947 laboratory-confirmed cases and 98 hospitalizations. Fortunately, no deaths have occurred. People should return or discard this lettuce and contact their doctor if they experience symptoms like diarrhea.
