Tiger Woods Resolves Florida Crash Case with Five-Year Driving Ban

The famous golfer Tiger Woods has agreed to a reckless driving charge in a Florida court. This agreement has ended his criminal case, which started after a rollover car crash in March. The fifty-year-old athlete appeared in a Martin County court on Wednesday morning. He pleaded no contest to the charge. As a result, the court has suspended his driver's license for five years. He also paid a one-thousand-dollar fine for reckless driving and a five-hundred-dollar fine because he refused a police test. In total, he paid more than two thousand dollars in fines and court costs.

Woods arrived at the courthouse in a black SUV with his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump. He wore a dark suit and did not answer any questions from the reporters who waited outside.

The incident happened on March 27, 2026, on Jupiter Island. According to the local sheriff, Woods was driving a Land Rover at a high speed. He tried to overtake a truck on a narrow road, but he clipped a trailer instead. His vehicle rolled over and landed on its side. Fortunately, Woods was alone and did not suffer any injuries.

Although a breath test showed no alcohol in his system, Woods refused to provide a urine sample. He admitted taking several medications that day, including painkillers and blood pressure drugs. He also made some unusual comments to the officers. For example, he claimed that fifteen drones were flying over his house, and he said he had just spoken to the president.

Following the accident, Woods decided to step away from golf so he could focus on his recovery. A judge allowed him to travel abroad to receive intensive care at a private treatment facility.
