Weak adjective declension in definite phrases

Structure:

definite article + adjective + -e + noun (definite)

In definite noun phrases, adjectives always take the weak -e form regardless of gender.

Example:

den gamle mannen, det gamle huset, de gamle husene **Translation:** the old man, the old house, the old houses
